Scarf Authentication Photo Guide
Smartphone Macro Photography Steps (Natural Light Required)
Follow these steps to capture clear, detailed photos for accurate scarf authentication. Skip any parts that your item does not have.
Required Shots
-
Main Pattern of the Scarf: Lay the scarf flat on a neutral surface and capture its overall main pattern. Use macro mode to shoot close-up details of the pattern—including weaving texture, print clarity, and color consistency—to verify craftsmanship and authenticity.
-
Collar Tag (Front & Back): Focus on the collar tag (usually attached to the edge of the scarf). Capture both the front and back sides, ensuring brand logos, fonts, stitching, and material details are sharp and legible. Avoid covering small embossments or prints on the tag.
-
Care Label (All Sides): Photograph every side of the care label (wash label) attached to the scarf. Capture all text, care instructions, fabric content, and symbols without blurriness. For multi-panel labels, shoot each panel individually to ensure full visibility.
Pro Tips for Perfect Photos
-
Use soft natural daylight (avoid direct sunlight, flash, or artificial lighting) to prevent color distortion and shadow coverage on the scarf’s pattern and labels.
-
Enable your phone’s macro mode for pattern and label details—hold the camera 2-5cm away, keep it steady, or use a small stand to avoid blurriness in texture shots.
Important Reminder
Authentication turnaround time begins only after we confirm all submitted photos meet our clarity standards. Blurry, overexposed, or wrinkled shots that obscure pattern and label details will delay the issuance of your authentication report.
